Aims:

To provide revision and overview of preparations for indirect restoration of posterior teeth.

Learning objectives:
  • To improve practitioners technical ability to prepare posterior crown. Following discussion and step-by-step demonstrations, the day will allow participants to practice the various metal and metal/ceramic partial coverage preparations appropriate for posterior teeth.
  • Identify current materials used for these restorations and where they may be applied, and their limitations.
  • To understand preparation and restoration design in relation to specific materials used for the production of these restorations.
Learning Outcomes:

At the end of this once day hands-on course the delegates should have:

  • Planning and design of restorations
  • Handpiece control and bur selection
  • Critical analysis of preparations
